The Farm Science Centre, also called Krishi Vigyan Kendra, was established on 29 December 2011 in Mamnoor, Hanamkonda Mandal, and Warangal District. It was administered by the Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati, with full support from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Following the division of Andhra Pradesh state into the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on June 2, 2014, this KVK was placed under the control of P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University. Since then, four districts—Warangal, Hanmakonda, Mulugu, Jayashanker Bhupalpally—have been served by KVK, Mamnoor.

A multidisciplinary group of scientists from KVK, Mamnoor works with the district’s departments of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, agriculture, fisheries, women and child development, and other related fields. Some of the technological interventions that KVK have successfully addressed in the farming community are the introduction of high-yielding varieties, new farming technologies, disease-resistant varieties of field crops, fodder crops, fisheries-related activities, and value-added products made from materials that are easily accessible locally.

Dr.R.Arunjyothi graduated from college of Home Science, Hyderabad ANGRAU and holds a Doctorate degree in Human development and family studies. Presently she is working as a Scientist (Home science) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mamnoor, PV. Narasimha Rao Veterinary University, Telangana. In the past 13 years she is constantly involved in conducting various awareness programmes, TV and radio programmes on; nutrition and drudgery reduction for farm women, care during pregnancy and lactation, menstrual and personal hygiene for adolescents and prevention of commonly prone diseases and disabilities among children and also in promotion and maintenance of kitchen garden in the rural and urban areas of erstwhile Warangal. She has presented research papers at seminars and bagged awards too.
